Wooden clocked in at 4.35 when it came to his 40-yard dash with an explosive 10-year split of 1.38 at his pro day. Wooden was a standout in his time at college, especially in the kick return game.

Wooden you give him a chance to return kicks?

He was a beast during his playing days. After retirement he used to sit in front of in section 7 with other ST holders every now and then. Very personable.

One of my my fav all time hits was Big Ben flattening fire hydrant RB Larry Keys of BC Lions.

Ouch!
The week’s final injury report shows Bridges and Usher are both “Out” and Bell is “Doubtful.”
On the other side, Lucky Whitehead, Nic Demski, and two back-up defensive linemen are all listed as 'Questionable."

Yes bridges and usher being out hurts alot

Where there’s Smoke, he’s fired. Todays’ Tiger-Cat transactions:

|2024-10-02|HAM|HARRIS, Smoke|WR|A|Louisiana Tech|DEL|Free Agent|

|2024-10-02|HAM|MARION, Benoit|DL|N|Montreal|ADD|Practice Roster|

|2024-10-02|HAM|BLACK, Dayton|OL|N|Saskatchewan|DEL|Free Agent|

Harris played 5 games (#s 5-9) as our returner and back-up slotback
Marion is re-signed, having been released by the TiCats on Sept.11th., after playing 8 games (#s 2-8 & 11).
The release of Black, I find surprising, considering he was our 1st round draft pick last year and played 17 games as a rookie. This year, an Achilles injury had him start the season with back-to-back full stints on the 6-Game Injured List and he’s, since, spent 3 games on the P.R.

It is interesting to note that the club, this week, has brought back two players, who’d been released just recently – Camren McDonald (5 days ago) and, now, Benoit Marion (3 weeks ago).

Black seems like another wasted draft pick or no

We have been very good at picking wasted 1rst round selections in the draft . In fact I think that we have made it into a fine science over the years .
McGough , Chapman , Burt , Gibbons , Federico ,Black …the list goes on and on .

Tough when injuries keep you from showing what you can do.

Black could be a case of needing a roster spot to look at some other guys. With Evan Johnson and Dumoulin-Duguay available we are covered on the oline at the moment and Black isn’t likely to dress this year. All it takes is one injury though and they could bring him back anytime. They may look at him again in 2025 if he’s fully healthy.

With Brubacher still on the six game we likely see a rotation of Menard, Barlow and Tim Ward playing his first game. He’s on the tall lean side, hopefully has some speed to seal off the outside on Collaros. Usher has been a nice surprise for us this year, didn’t honestly expect him to make it out of camp when they first signed him.

If they decide to start him this will be Patmon’s chance to shine. With his limited time on the field we’ve only seen him mostly in some jump ball situations downfield. Not sure about the hands but there was some promise flashed in preseason. They could also move Dunbar outside as he played at Bridges spot in 2021-22

I wouldn’t call it wasted. The guy has the feet to play tackle in the Pros. This is mindboggling on the Ti-Cats part.

Federico was a second round pick.

He’s literally had one injury.

Who was our 1rst pick in that draft (17th over-all) . We didn’t have a 1rst rd pick that year . We ended up trading our 1rst rd pick(8th over-all) to Edm who used it to draft QB Tre Ford . Either way putting semantics aside Federico still turned out to be a bust .

I met Garney Henley and said a similar thing to #26 , memorable conversation, about Henley coming into the game on Offence and then getting the ball thrown his way and caught for a first down etc

Bombers first out with their depth chart for tomorrows big game . Despite what the IL reported about Whitehead and Demski both being questionable for this game both are listed on the chart and will play tomorrow .
