#27 gets game ball. He shutdown arguable the best wr in the league.

Aside from a few circus catches the MTL wrs made. The defence was on lockdown mode all game.

We destroyed them on Special Teams

Jeff Reinebold has done an outstanding job,
The onside punts were awesome and our return game and coverage is best in the league

TOTAL Domination in many areas in this game.

Time of possession is one of the biggest! By having possession almost FOURTEEN minutes (close to one FULL quarter) more than the Als, the team drastically reduced their scoring opportunities. The ability to sustain drives, which has been a problem too often, of course was key, as was the play of the defense in getting them off the field quickly most of the time.

GREAT TEAM EFFORT!

Loved the onside punts into the wind. Only downside is that whoever advances to the East Final will be more prepared for it.

Loved seeing a serious run game from the Cats. Big thumbs up.

Montreal can run the ball. Then this...

Rushes-Yards--- 12-17

Great job Defence.

It may be a downside, but how would you defend against it? The only way I can see would be to double team block the onside cover guy (Gainey). This would allow other cover guys to be totally free from blocking so it would lead to the returner getting hit really hard just after he catches the punt (if the unblocked cover guy can accurately time his tackle).

I wondered about this even as I was typing it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if coaches in the league might have creative solutions. Just ensuring the return team is aware that the onside guys are out there and assigning people to try and tie them up is a major first step.

Mtl only had 100 yards passing at the end if the 3rd and ended up with 284 although most of those yards came at the end when the game was over. This game was wondering in the 3rd. Mtl did not even gain a first down in that qtr and we had the ball for over 11 minutes
