I guess we can finally say that “official” football is back, now that the regular season has commenced.
There has been an inordinate amount of personnel - both players and coaches/front office - since last season, and there are some very visible differences - mostly doing with WR height.
My major concern for this game is starting a pair of American rookie Tackles, because OF COURSE both our veteran starters are on the 6-game.
This is BLM’s first visit to McMahon as a dressed opposing player, so there’s bound to be some emotion involved with this.
I’m interested in seeing if they are going to incorporate a tight end as a receiver on offence like they talked about during training camp. Global player Jevoni Robinson is dressed for that position but it will be interesting to see how much they use him as a receiver.
I am not optimistic about tonight. We have inexperienced Linebackers, our best DB is out, and so are our two starting tackles.
Luckily we are probably playing a team that has just as many question marks.
If our revamped D-Line can get 4 man pressure then we might have a chance.
I have grown accustomed to slow starts so I am just preparing myself.
Wouldn’t be a Ti-Cat season if we didn’t lose the opener . It’s almost like a tradition , in fact we have won exactly 4 season openers since the 2001 season. Yep a sparkling 4 - 19 record while opening up the season over the years , crazy as that sounds .
Worse than I would have guessed! Calgary is always a tough place to play. The team under Coach O was never, in my view, well prepared at the beginning of the season. I’m hoping for a different look with Milanovich.
I think we are going to win this one.
But the season I have doubts.
I think Bo at best will last 6 games
Before he goes down. With him we
Will win 4 of our next 6 games. With
Powell who is only average we will
Win 6 of our remaining 12 games.
It will be a 10/18 season. Just good
Enough to fight for third place against a western cross over team.
And that game we lose.
That’s my best senario Sorry I hope
I’m wrong.
