On the eve of International Women’s Day, I’m mulling over the meaning of labels.
The ones I slap on others, without their knowledge, without their permission. And the ones I carry myself.
My congratulations to Vicki Hall for her dedication to her job - a job that until fairly recently was dominated by men. I hope that she and others who report on the world of sports will follow the Chad Kelly story and how that cost a young woman her career with the Argonauts. I hope that all CFL reporters will closely watch how this situation is being handle and to report back accurately to the fans. This is a huge moment for the CFL to prove that they truly do support diversity.
