TORONTO SUN Nobody embodies the football spirit that resonates in Tiger Town more than Marwan Hage.http://www.torontosun.com/2013/05/27/ti ... egain-form
No player has devoted so much of his time to the Hamilton community than Hage.
And, arguably, no one associated with the Ticats franchise has endured more pain than the veteran centre, literally and figuratively.
Hage, though, committed plenty of time this off-season to getting his body as healthy as possible.
“I feel good,’’ Hage said on Monday during a conference call. “I’ve had a long time to heal and everything is in order.
“It’s been two frustrating years, but when you play long enough injuries are bound to happen.?
“I still feel that I’ve got a lot to give,’’ said Hage. “I’ve been training very hard and I’m ready to produce.?
Players of Hage’s ilk are indispensable because they set a tone, be it on the practice field, inside the locker room, meeting room or weight room.
A healthy Hage will go a long way in determining what unfolds in the Hammer as the city awaits a winning team, perhaps even a championship team.
