Ha! Ha! Argos try to go even older

Breaking news: It didn't work, but the Argonauts tried to get Doug Flutie to start tonight's game.

He might have won, because he's that good, but it's just so funny to see the Argos with an injured 42 years old Damon Allen, trying to get a 44 years old Flutie.

I would love to see Flutie play once again in the CFL. I don't care for what team!

Flutie now is twice the Qb that Allen ever was

ARGOS win , FLUTIE is not coming.

ALLEN has almost every all world pro Q.B. records and 4 CHAMP. wins.

I win take ALLEN any day.

I can’t wait for ALLEN to come back and beat MOON’s all pro passing record.

Allen only has records cause he played a lot. He was never as good as either Moon or Flutie, or even Dunigan or many others who dont have the numbers cause they didnt play nearly as long. Go by season numbers average (rushingpassingrating) and he is not in the top 3 in any of them.

That is in your opinion.

A Q.B.s life averages about 5 years as a PRO , ALLEN’s long time of playing just adds to his legend.

Besides MOON , who has started for as long as he has.

I will take all of his passing records. MOST T.D. passes , most completions , most attempts , most yards [CFL , soon to be all pro]

1 on them being 3rd behind PRINGLE and REED in all time , all pro RUSHING.

4 GREY CUP rings , 2 GREY CUP MVPS. 1 OPA award , 1 Fan Choice Award at the age of 42.

"Hellothere", isn't your signature totally inaccurate. Didn't the Shmoes win more cups?

nope!

Wow you have had some weird posts! I guess the performance of Crouch should be considered!

Darren said during the telecast how Doug has not ruled out against coming.
It sounded it was more of a $ reason then his alleged inability to perform. Now with no Wynn, who knows. If he did sign for next weekends game, I would bet there would be a spike in attendance, unlike Ricky.

I would stick with Crouch! He played not bad against the Rider defense. If he gets to practise as a starter he just might do very well!

I am not sure Red, coming off the bench he did OK, but to throw him in as a starter, just like Wynn, may be a mistake. Especially since the team has long term plans for Crouch. Earlier these past weeks Pinball and Austin said he was a long term project. Plus, if he were to start and then bomb, it may do a number on his mind.

Argotom this is the time you have to let this guy go out and do his thing if he can not get it done then you know where you stand! The kid showed great composure! He needs reps to learn now is the time!

I agree

Unless they sign Doug and since Wynn is likely out with a head injury, they may not have a choice.
Damon is at least two weeks away, so I am not sure you push him with his age.

Well, I'm available, if the money's good.

At 5'4, they could use somebody big to throw me forward with the ball. I'd probably gain 10 to 12 yards a play. And it would be entertaining for the fans.

Wait a minute. I think I have something here. If Saskatchewan hired a midget, Chris Szarka could throw him, with the ball, for a good 15 yards everyplay. Booyah! :rockin:

You mean like your Ezra Landry, he is all of what 5'2"?
I hear he will be back next week and boy you need him, the guy there now is a stiff.

Nah, do like what Nelson did in that episode of The Simpsons: use Bart as a blocking shield and run over the opposing players.

Landry has too much talent to be thrown like that. Unless he has good YAT yards (. Yards After Throw). Ha! Ha! Ha!

I would love to see Flutie back in double blue, at least until Allen gets better.
