For those of you that knew GreyCupGarry, Garry Passed Away today, more info:
http://13thman.com/cheers/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35149Garry was an ambassador for the Argos, CFL, and the CFL Fans Fight Cancer. He will be missed by all of us who were able to meet/know him!!
Although I only encountered Garry a few brief times during games, his spirit and kindness had a way of staying with you. God bless you, Garry. And God bless your family during this very difficult time. Rest in peace.
I'm shocked and deeply deeply saddened by this horrible news. Garry was a friend, a kind soul and a very funny man. He will be greatly missed. Tailgates won't be the same without him. My heart goes out to his family.
Gary epitomized everything that is great and wonderful about the CFL community. He was loyal to his team, his friends and anyone else who loved the league and it's fans.
I was fortunate enough to have Tigger introduce me to Gary a few years back at the Grey Cup in B.C.
He made me feel welcome right from our first encounter...as he did with everyone he met...regardless of the team you happened to support.
We as a fan community are poorer off today with this sad loss.
Condolences to all of Gary's family and friends.
Garry was a great guy. He will be missed greatly. My condolences to the family.
I never met GreyCupGarry but it is because of people like him that we have a great CFL today and have fans like myself that love our league. Thank you GCG and peace be with you.
Bump…
The visitation is 2 to 4 today in Rockwood, with a private funeral to follow!
GCG was a friend to all CFL fans and anyone who has attended a tailgate at Scott park has probably met him!
I truly wish I could attend, but Garry and his family will definately be in my thoughts and prayers again today.
This commentary by Jamie Stein sums him up nicely...
