Grey Cup Champions vs Buffalo Bills

The only way this happens would be a CFL/NFL All-Star flag football game with the proceeds going to a charity. While it might be fun for the players, it seems unlikely the Bills would risk injuring their million-dollar players in an exhibition game against a CFL team, playing one-half of Canadian football. There just isn’t that much upside for them.

why the Bills, because it was Rex Ryan who said he wanted to play the Toronto Argonauts last April 1st. You guys think he was joking but he was not. This kind of game happens in every other sport but this one. It is time.

We left off in 1961 with the Hamilton Tiger Cats winning over the Buffalo Bills. Next game can be this one

Well that explains it

Why the bills, to shut up all the Canadian bills fans that go there for games and bad mouth our league. But we have to beat them 1st .

Well for one thing Earl - when most Premier League or La Liga teams play MLS teams - it is usually their pre-season when they are playing a number of their reserve players for much of the game - so they are not too concerned about the outcome. It is basically a money grab while getting a chance to see some of their prospects in game action. Their ‘stars’ usually only play part of the game. They basically treat it like NFL teams treat pre-season games and so do their fans.

A Premier League team’s reputation takes more of a hit when they lose to lower division teams within England in competitions that actually count - like the FA Cup. Although with the top Premier League teams now giving much higher priority to league games and UEFA Champions League games - even those upsets are becoming more common and not impacting aa team’s reputation that much as they often rest their key players in some FA Cup games now so ‘upsets’ of lower division teams beating Premier League teams are much more common now.

And the other key difference in comparisons are that with soccer - they would be playing the same sport by the same rules. There is no upside for the NFL to play a different game with different rules than what they normally play by and the risk of injury too. Heck the NFL barely even uses its starters at all in their four pre-season games. Starters are lucky to see one quarter of action. They would be VERY unlikely to make any starters available in a game against a CFL team.

Good read Travel.

Well those types of NFL fans aren't true football fans anyways in my book that can appreciate both Canadian and American football, amateur and pro.

I have an even better idea.

Lets have the Arena Bowl Champs play a mixed squad of GC Champs ( offence ) and SB Champs ( defence ).

First game in the Arena , second game on the field . First half in the GC champ stadium, the continued for the second half on the field of the SB champ.
THEN the total point winner of those 2 games will play the Champion of MLFB.

The winner of that game would then play the Grande Final Champion of Australian Football

The winner of that game could then play the World Series Champs in a soccer game.

BTW , to this whole discussion :

To get back to reality,

The only goal of any team is to win your games in your league and build points to the playoffs and championship is the ONLY thing that needs to be the focus.

What other leagues do in Europe as for Champions vs champions has no point. ( IIHF and FIFA ) Governing bodies of international sports have always been done that way.

Final note, do not worry about thinking about it because it will never happen.
