Grey Cup 2023

No doubt. It takes a team effort to win. Mack had himself a monster game, but Philpot came up huge as well. Snead chipped in despite that non-fumble which really should have been a fumble, lol. And the offensive line only gave up two sacks to Winnipeg, which is definitely an achievement.

Maas calls the offensive plays, so kudos to him for the third-down call, though AC was instrumental in installing all the plays during the week, as well as working with Fajardo on his pocket awareness and throwing. But yeah, it takes some nerve to call that deep play on third and 5. Full credit to Spieker for climbing the ladder and making a beautiful catch.

And Masoli is 5 yards from being MVP and the guy Fajardo is today.

So interesting ‘what if’ scenario here …If Masoli did indeed make that TD pass and as a result we win that game and finally the Cup ? Is he still our QB today ?

Yes, I saw that kicking warning , players coaching players is a good thing.

I say yes. Acklin still with us, too.

I say no because Masoli is a walking injury of mediocrity. He would certainly have some good will but he would still be .500 football.

I remember when we used to be .500 football and had home playoff games.

The question isn’t “should” he still be with us, it’s “would” he, & i think a GC win would have gotten a lot of players & coaches a lot of slack.

With 11 seconds left on the clock, they call the play, he executes, the receiver catches the ball, and game over.
Shiltz could never had done that . He doesn’t have the pocket presence.

I’m reading on social media ( Facebook CFL group) that the TSN panel did a skit making fun of BLM, and the rumour is BLM was “taken aback” by the skit and had to leave the booth for a few minutes to gain his composure.
Any truth to this? Did anyone see the " skit"?

Well .500 would still be an improvement.

I saw it. It was hilarious. Bo blushed when they panned to him after they showed it. Good for TSN!

Cool, but what was the premise of the skit or joke? Im really curious.

wife and I watched the entire replay of the game, including half time Monday morning on the TSN replay.

I don’t recall the skit in question. I wonder if they pulled it on the replay?

TSN jokingly announced that Kate would be taking over as lead host. Then Scianitti conducted a mock interview with Duthie down on the field level who said that he might not be here anymore if they don’t use their highest paid host.

Basically copying BLM’s earlier quote.

After they went back into the studio and were all laughing. Bo looked OK with it and they thanked him for being a good sport.

It happened way earlier than the game. I think somewhere in that 5 hour pregame segment that TSN shows.
