Congrats to the Riders. They have a better team, a better D and a better QB. The coaching is sharper, grittier with far more savvy. VA is a wonderful regular season QB (unless there’s MOP rumours or it’s a big pressure game, then he comes up short). I realize sportswriters and fans love him but I find he’s just not a big-game player. In a way, I hope Doman shakes up the coaching and playing line up. Something is missing. Perhaps it’s best for Rourke to find a new team and the Lions keep VA. Be better for Rourke, for sure. I’m not sure it would be better for the Lions and big games, though.
Sk o-line outplayed BC D-line. Made for more impactful play for Sk QB and running backs.
Sk D-line outplayed BC O-line.
A tougher test next week. WBB have a stingy front on both sides of the ball. But, I say not quite as good as previous years. Should be a close one. Be mean’n Green!
The east will have a very strong team in the Grey Cup. Both Mtl and TO will be formidable foes for whoever comes out of the west.
The B.C Lions have some serious off season decisions to make. Do they have the funds to retain both Nathan Rourke and Vernon Adams. Based on the age of both Pivots, It may be wiser to keep Nathan a . I think the Calgary Stampeders and coach Dickenson can help extend VA’s career.
P.S The inability to make the big plays and poor execution in the Zone ultimately costs them this hard “Fought Battle”
