Well, it’s nice icing on the cake, but to quote Vince Lombardi
“Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.”
That being said, save for our DB situation, I think we have all the pieces of the puzzle this coming year. It’s just a matter of the new coaching staff to put them together.

Why do those plays matter since they too did not result in a championship? You can pick and choose which plays matter to you, but that doesn't mean ones you consider irrelevant don't matter to others.

Correct me if Iam wrong but Joe Hagens third down play advanced us to the Grey Cup in 1999 and Ozzies 54 yarder advanced us in 1998. A win in 99 and loss in 98 but in both cases advancement. Tony Champions catch kept us alive in IMO the most exciting Grey Cup Ive ever witnessed.
The lack of any such play by any TiCat in 2010 was the reason we failed to advance. I d say the importance of these plays are not some fans opinion at all they are the difference maker. Lets hope a difference maker leads this years team to a Grey Cup. Thats all .....
I didn’t highlight the Hagens play, I was only talking about Ozzie and Champion. And I love both those plays as well, but they did not result in championships. And it is your opinion, and I agree with your opinion. Everything everyone posts on here is opinion. My point was that anyone can say something doesn’t matter. I think everything you highlighted IS important, but I think the things you dismissed from the past season as being not important are also important. It doesn’t have to be either/or. I think all the contributions made in 2010 mean something in the bigger picture. And one could say that Champion’s catch was the least important of any of the plays you cited because it (a) did not lead Hamilton to a championship; (b) the Ti-Cats did not win another championship until 1999; and (c) it matters not that a team played in the most exciting Grey Cup game in history if they lost. See what I mean? It is very easy to dissect something, even if you don’t believe it. (For the record, I think Champion’s catch ranks up there with the greatest plays in sports history. I’m just trying to show that someone could make the case that it, too, does not matter.)
I’m not trying to discount the plays you brought up; far from it. And I agree that I hope a difference maker emerges in 2011. The thing is, based on the evidence from 2010, that difference maker is probably already on the squad, and was on the squad in 2010.
