Because the weather north of them sucks…
Of course it is. Golf talk is golf talk.
I’m enjoying TGL for what it is, something to watch on a Monday/Tuesday night when nothing else is on.
The Tiger/Rory match was quite good.
Yes, they seem to have adjusted to aiming on the screen.
The one thing that seems a fail is that they are using track-man or something similar to track shots. The problem is that Trackman guesses at a lot of things about ball flight - especially spin. A big reason why Tiger was yelling cut and the ball never moved.
That’s why you see a lot of pros on the range and greens with Foresight monitors when they are warming up. They actually take about 300 pictures in the first few feet of ball flight or putts to measure direction and spin in all axis or skidding for putts.
Pebble Beach results : T9. Billy Horschel, Scottie Scheffler, Taylor Pendrith; 15 under: $535,000

Tiger Woods Mom , Kultida has died today . RIP and may her memory be a blessing .
The Mt. Rushmore of Golf -
Nicklaus - Tiger - Bobby Jones - Hogan
Hon. mentions: Scheffler (so far), Rory, Snead, Palmer, Trevino, Faldo and one more old-timer, prolly Walter Hagen. Tom Watson also deserves to be somewhere on such lists but not Mt. Rushmore.
Great ratings for Pebble. Of course there was nothing else on this weekend, but that’s also the case every year for this tournament.
Don’t know if anyone follows how scores are calculated in LIV tournaments, but changes to the rules have been made.
The Phoenix Open this week
This is the party Course where the crazy fans are crazy
Adam Hadwin having a 2nd round day
After 13 holes he is tied 1st with 7 birdies in a row
This also happened this week
A robot aced the par 3 Stadium hole
The course is set up like the Par 3 contest at the Masters. Put the ball in the right spot and it will end up close to if not in the hole.
Whatever though…PGA needs more events sort of like this, where scoring is a little easier and there is lots of excitement. I think they figured that out at the US Open though at last, that a high scoring - bunch of guys in the chase tournament was more exciting the 20 birdies for the tournament with 5 guys under par…
Six Canadians will make the cut .
Hadwin at minus 8 tied for 4th, Svensson at minus 7 tied for 8th
Nick Taylor minus 5 tied for 20th , Conners minus 4 tied for 27th
Hughes minus 3 and Silverman minus 2 and still on the course .
The cut appears to be minus 1 . All the s made the cut .
