I don’t know if I have ever seen and NHL team enter into a specific partnership with a pro golfer, but there is one now. May as well take Canada’s best golfer both today and ever.
More importantly for the viewer, “The Match” hasn’t been the same since the first Tiger vs Phil.
Gimmick players like Peyton Manning vs Lebron James made the next iterations boring.
Hopefully we can get a true competitive mstch and something worth watching. I’ll tune in for this one.
I never considered any of these staged for TV all star wrestling events to be entertaining, even Tiger vs Phil. And even then only Phil is entertaining. I wouldn’t hold my breath on this one either but I’m happy they are playing.
Although not quite the same, I remember watching Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf and the old Skins games. You had entertaining guys such as Arnie, Chi Chi and Lee and an assortment in the Skins games including John Daly and often Freddie Couples, the all time king of the silly season.
Good they are playing and not only would this have been impossible a couple of years ago, but it just occurred to me that a team of Bryson and Brooks wouldn’t have been possible either. That just goes to show that Brooks can be forgiving, as long as he doesn’t kill you first.
