I've been saying it since the change. The year Young bought the team, they wore gold pants and had a winning record. Then Mr Young tampered with tradition (the colours, the logo) and it has been dismal. Tonight, the return of the black and gold, and the Tiger Cats beat the hottest team in the league...
Yeah they really should keep to the gold pants. The other suggestion I'd make is to have the shoulders white as per the uniform from the 70s to 1996 before the Tiger-head shoulders jersey...
I was pleasantly surprised tonight by the black and gold look. About freaking time!
The Reeboked combination worked well. The guys seemed bigger on my TV screen. LOL The unitard thing works okay with the white road duds, IMHO -- but I am for contrasting colours.

Although not a fashion expert, I liked the looks of the guys coming out of the tunnel tonight as well.
And there is 2 little red stripes in the pants.

Never liked the black pants. We might as well be panthers as opposed to tiger cats. Now if we could get some stripes back!
Yes, the gold pants looked awesome ... I'd still like to see gold numbers with white trim ...
Now only if the CFL would get the teams to keep the jerseys tucked in. Both teams looked really sloppy out there.
At first I didn't like the combo as i'm so used to all black or all white now. By the end of the game it had really grown on me though. It works well.
The gold pants work well with the road jerseys also (they have not done this in the last few road games) but I prefer all white on the road.
I actually prefer the new logo as it looks cleaner and simply more aesthetic.
Zen, I have often stated that the new logo works better than the old one did on a black helmet.
That is not an argument against going old school and going back to gold helmets with the original logo, but I think that train has left the station…
The colour schemes of the team should give some credence to tradition, I feel. The team is known as the Black and Gold for decades-worth of reasons!

The gold pants looked like a dream. The team looked like the Hamilton Tiger-Cats again and they played like a Hamilton Tiger-Cats team should play, tough and inspired. The gold pants should be worn home and away. Awesome Game!
I am also a believer that the black pants are a jinx.
A tear came to my eye tonight when I saw the good old black and GOLD uni's. And a win to boot....see that Bob....trash the black pants!!!!

The constant switching up and mixing and matching that seems to go on is a total drag on the branding of the Tiger-Cats…fans and especially kids want to lock into one look and stick with it…as do the players
The Gold pants should be the only thing worn home and away…last nights black jersey and the away “white” jersey should be the only uniform the team wears…
…I agree that the uniform last night looked like the real Hamilton Tiger-Cats we all know…I’m sure the players felt the same way…
…and of course, getting on a winning roll from here on in is paramount.
The players need to keep this look so when they put that uniform on, it feels like they are stepping into something special…not wondering what wierd uniform combination they will be in every game…half the combinations they’ve had to endure must be embarrassing for them…
Stick to the simple, traditional look…and get on with bringing winning football back to town.

I love the gold pants and agree they should be the pants home and away. But for the LAbour Day game and maybe a couple of games each seaqson i really love the gold jerseys.
We really do have the best uniform in the CFL no matter what combo they use.
I like the black jersey and gold pants. Looked really sharp.
