So we annilhated BC with the roster we had and i heard Jumal Rolle will be healthy and on offence Terrance Toliver will ne back. I dont knoe about you but I think we keep the same team that played BC.
I thought Leonard played well in Rolles spot. I would just put Rolle in as back up. Maybe take out Marquay McDaniel and put in Toliver but what does everyone else think?? Addison, Jones and Tasker are the main receivers. Even Buren had a few good catches last game. McDaniel was non existent but has a lot of playoff experience over the years.
I’m thinking Rolles is iffy, considering he needed stitches in the laceration to his heel. Probably some concern yet about tearing it open. Back up might be better, especially if he has not been able to practice, and seven days may be enough healing time.
I’d think McDaniel and Tollover are a wash. Whichever looks better in practices would be my choice.
TIGER-CATS ADD PAIR TO PRACTICE ROSTER The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday the football club has added two players to the team’s practice roster, including international defensive back Robert Porter Jr. and national receiver Mitch O’Connor.
Porter Jr., 25, was added to the Tiger-Cats practice roster earlier this season on August 19 before being released October 1. Prior to this season, he suited up in five games with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2017, collecting two defensive tackles and five special teams tackles. The 5-10, 188-pound native of Detroit, Michigan, spent time with the NFL’s Chicago Bears in 2016 after two seasons at Jackson State (2014-15). He earned All-SWAC honours in 2015 after posting 38 tackles, one interception and 12 passes defended with the Tigers.
O’Connor, 24, spent time on the Tiger-Cats practice roster earlier this season (June 10 to August 2) after joining the team during training camp June 3 and playing in Hamilton’s second preseason game at Montreal. In 2017, he posted 22 receptions for 320 yards and a touchdown in 10 games with McMaster University, and appeared in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl. The 6-2, 195-pound native of Kingston, Ontario, played in 27 career games with the Marauders from 2014 to 2017, registering 54 receptions for 734 yards and three touchdowns. O’Connor was a member of McMaster’s 2014 Yates Cup (OUA Championship) and Mitchell Bowl-winning team.
“Watching the tape of the eastern semifinal, what are you going to show the players from that?”
Coach Jones answer
"I am going to show the Offence 13 plays where we left 400 yards and 6 TD’s on the field because it
was not anything but alignment and doing the right thing.
We played very well, but in the eyes of some people, we played the perfect game, well, it wasn’t a perfect game to me.
We have to get better if we want to win the next two"
At this time of year given Sink can play both ways and return kicks I would think he has to be on the roster. But that’s just me.
As for McDaniel, if he’s bringing knowledge to the table helping Masoli and Jones see things on the field he also has a value, just better be great if he’s not going to be targeted.
Grover, for sure one has to wonder which TiCat team will show up Sunday. The Cats have looked unstoppable at times but not so good other times. Even though a 9-9 team ended up winning the GC last year, from my perspective it doesn’t seem plausible that an 8-10 team could win the GC but this is the CFL…So ???
steve milton?
[ltr]@miltonatthespec[/ltr] 1m1 minute ago CB Rolle most likely out for Sunday vs. #Redblacks June Jones says. Sinkfield working out as backup at CB. I'd guess he gets onto roster to give #Ticats extra WR depth as well. #CFL
The RBs are a much superior team to BC. We are going to need every yard and point.
D needs to put pressure on Harris for entire game - otherwise it may be over for us by the half.
If some of the DBs get burned early Sink may get a chance.
So if the Offence still screwed up 13 plays in a game where they blew out the opposition, then how high was the screw up count in any of the 10 games that they actually lost? ???
