Glenn Honoured With Tom Pate Award

Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Kevin Glenn has been honoured as the 2011 Tom Pate Award recipient in recognition of his contributions to his team, his community and his Association.

For the last two seasons, Glenn has teamed up with Tim Hortons for the Kevin Glenn’s Touchdowns for Kids program. For every touchdown Glenn throws, local Tim Hortons store owners donate $200 to send kids to Tim Horton Children’s Foundation camps. As part of this initiative, Glenn brought 250 kids from Tim Horton Children's Foundation camps to a game at Ivor Wynne Stadium in August and met with them afterwards.

Good for Kevin. It's nice to see him recognized.

Congrats!

Well deserved for all the selfless work he does.

We thank you.

Congrats to Glenn on a well deserved award. His community contribution (particularly with children) is beyond admirable.

Although the press isn't always nice to him he certainly has respect around the CFL. Last year he was voted the most underrated player in the CFL by the players.

Congrats to Kevin for sure and nice to see the league has this award.

There are those here who debate how good a QB Glenn really is. What isn't debated is how good a person he is. And I don't think anyone here will disagree with him receiving this award.

And I here is a great quote from Glenn:

“I have to credit my family: my parents for instilling the right principles in me and my wife and son who sacrifice not having me around when I'm doing things for other people,? Glenn said. “They never complain because I think they feel a part of it too.?
