Suitor only does the colour commentary, so he doesn't say much to begin with. TSN is smartwhen they picked up Chris Cuthbert from CBC to add to their play by play announcers for the CFL. All they had was ex-players. I would rather Glen, than Leif Peterson.
These guys are pro-east because that is where they are all located - at the centre of the universe - Toronto. How else do you think they get the work and keep the gig. They don't get it by hyping the West. The populace that is the greatest gets the most play - not that it is right.
They also get to see the local east teams more and if they came from that team they tend to use them for more examples.
I can see commentators being biased towards a team but not a division.
I still stand by Wells and Suitor...Cuthbert is OK ...Walby is terrible and so is Petterson..... dont know if you guys remember, but the all time best color guy was Frank Rigny, Followed by Ernie Halfbananas ( Ehfahganis ) on the sideline. Correct me if I spelled it wrong... its been awhile lol.
