Addition by subtraction.
3DownNation is reporting that the Ticats have reached out to coaches on other CFL teams regarding the DC job. Who do you think we are going after?
Someone born after ww2 ended would be great.
Mark Washington from BC Lions would be a great hire, his contract has expired in BC
[ol]- I think our DC will be Olondo
- and he will put Courtney back to starting safety[/ol]
I don’t think Craig Butler is ready to be DC .I’d like to see him assisting the db’s and linebackers and get a few more years of experience and then make him the DC with Orlondo keeping a close eye. Butler was an excellent safety and wil linebacker who played tough and smart.
A rookie HC with a rookie DC. There would be some serious growing pains there.
I would prefer that we lure back Reinbold from BC as the STC.
If we don’t look at trying Jackson Bennett at safety, there’s something wrong. Stephen has done nothing to warrant being put back in as a starter.
Exactly Crash! Had wverythjng to do with an over-hyped, over-sold coach that couldn’t do a thing with a very good D-group against Ottawa. And then admitted so, which is probably worse.
LOL
Yeah, what could players possibly learn from a Dick LeBeau, Jimmy Johnson, Dan Reeves, Dick Vermeil, or Jerry Glanville ? :
Pat Lynch (the old guy born before the end of WW2)
Sorry Pat. I was going ok and then you lost me at Glanville!
So that would be anyone younger than 68. June Jones fits your criteria for OC.
Next sarcastic complaint please.
Um it’s actually anyone younger than 73 not 68 so technically that would definitely eliminate Glanville born in “41” BUT June Jones born in “53” would as you say fit OMD’s born post war criteria .
How profootball was coached in the 70s, 80s and early 90 s ?
Jones could be 105 for all I care if he ran an offense that wasn’t so easily solveable by good defense.
Hey, Invincible was a great movie
8:19 into the press conference he says almost exactly that. That if it wasn’t Jerry Glanville, he would want to be both HC and DC. The video is available here: http://ticats.ca/
I could be incorrect and we will never know but I don’t think his offense would have been so solveable if Williams, Saunders and Banks were not injured.
One could argue the Jones offence took Banks from an average CFL receiver to the biggest receiving threat in the league at age 28.
