Give Boreham some credit!

I don’t know if “Mike Myers” can kick better than anyone in the CFL…but he has cooler hair than Troy Westwood for sure!

hey weiner1 dont knock jamie they dont like it here.just read some of the posts written to me about how hes a nice guy and doesnt deserve to be knocked.i agree with u but dont tell anyone that because i'll get in trouble.no matter how bad a player is aslong as he's a nice guy he can be a Ti-Cat.

Must again disagree.

Myers does not kick the kickoffs as far.

MM does not punt.

MM does not agressively pursue and tackle or recover downfield.

MM could not be trusted to run a fake as well as Jaimie.

The Jury remains out on which one is better or more consistent on FG’s, given the crappy blocking, holding and hiking that Jaimie was faced with, let alone the lack of spine in the red zone where you should be trying for 6 instead of suffering an attempt for 3.

Keep myers on the payroll, you have an inferior kick off guy (which will cost you!) and the need for another $70-odd K in payroll for a punter (who in this case is not all that great, and isn’t there for place kicking, either)(take the base pay and add another 25% or better for benefits)

D the math, and you can understand that Jaime Boreham is much better for the team, if you think it through, that we could have one or two extra players in here, if we just accepted him…

Jamie deserves credit for his contributions in this game. Slighting him for doing his job is counter productive.

This reminds me of all the naysayers that Josh Ranek had while playing injured. He appears to be okay now and this is reflected in his game.

Im sorry I cant resist.I just did the math,Jamies fg%is 62%.Myers fg%is 83%.Now give those numbers to the jury and tell me who is more consistent.I thought Fleming did a great job punting last night.Maybe if Jamie didnt run down field all the time he would stay healthy. You take points when you can get them thats why we have a fieldgoal kicker.Thats not spineless, thats smart football.Im sure Myers could handle the kickoffs.

Good post…

Mike Morreale went through this with fans also…he left for Toronto for awhile to get away from it…so Jamie is in good company…

(personally, it seems to me that Jamie may have won some people’s cash in here during a card game  …and they are getting revenge !!!..the bazillion posts, one after the other, "dissing " him relentlessly sent some red flags up)… :cowboy:

(just my opinion though)

That’ll be great, thanks.

For me it’s not an issue of disallowing criticism of players. I just think we should be reasonable about it, and not make them such personal attacks. And it’s particularly bizarre when the guy just had a decent game. It makes about as much sense as coming on the site today and attacking Maas (repeatedly, in multiple posts, on multiple threads) for the interceptions he threw several games ago. Or Brock Ralph for going offside in that Argo game. Wouldn’t that make the poster sound pretty foolish? If a player is trying to improve their game, and succeeding, let’s support their efforts.

Let’s save the vicious attacks fo the other team. Anyone see all those passes slide through Brazzell’s hands? Ha ha ha!

Dusty’s thread is titled "Give Boreham some credit!

Is it too much to ask to just give Jamie credit
for doing everything asked of him last Friday

or are all of you so paranoid that Jamie may get his job back
that you have to rehash everything that you have said before?

I am NOT saying that Jamie is the better kicker. I am saying, however, that he did what was asked of him last night.
Take a downer!

Scientifically speaking here, it just struck me.....

We won...... right?...

Jamie did everything perfectly.... right?

He's the only one still being blamed for something....... right?

Therefore, according to my calculator and trusty slide rule..... and following the science of reason and deduction, one can only conclude the following........It's Jamie's fault we won!

Think about that!

Nite all! :rockin:

I finally understand...

Our win of last night is due to Boreham, who is being made the model of inconsistency. and therefor should be blamed for interrupting the hithertoforward "consistent" performance of continuous losses...

And kickers, once they have launched their kick attempts, should scurry for the sidelines, lest they get hurt, leaving the team short handed on any return...

Yep, its "Leadership" and "Teamwork" like that, that we need to reinforce...

Lets get Boreham back in our game! I like his concepts better!

You have to remember that patcat is a diehard. I am positive i saw her at practice the other day getting watermelon ready for the players for after practice. She volunteers her time to go to rallies around the city and paint kids faces in ticat colours. These players are like family to her, and she deserves more credit than you give her

Will the real Lifter please declare your self.

Exhibit A…the sarcastic S-disturber.

or Exhibit B…the apparently classy guy [unless he was just s.uc.k.i.n.g. up the ladies]

Okay

I wrote the first one in total seriousness,

And when the crap kept spewing, I decided to get sarcastic.

Should be pretty plain, I thought.

Is that good enough for you?

Lifter

Give Boreham some credit? For what? Kicking an 11-yard field goal? Although that may be his longest of the year.

Someone mentioned that one of our loses was NOT Jamie Boreham's fault because it's a team game and in order for Jamie to be in that position the team had to have failed as well.

That's Horsesh1t.

A team plays as a unit, yes. So when the offence and defense are able to keep the score close enough that a simple field goal (for 7 of the 8 kickers in the CFL) would win the game and the kicker misses it... wow!

I don't know why some people are so quick to defend Jamie and tell all of us non-Boreham fans that he should stay. He may be a nice guy... but being nice doesn't put the football through the uprights. This is a football team... bring in a kicker that helps the team.

Now I understand Lifter.

Crap like crap spewing from the above poster, Rusty25,
got the best of you and you felt a need to join in.

Keep Boreham for kciks offs, he blasts that ball downfield. Myers plaes in comparison in that pespective

Crap? How is my post crap? This love affair with Jamie Boreham has gone too far. Let me say this for all to hear/see… JAMIE BOREHAM IS NOT A GOOD KICKER.

I give Jamie credit for his performance Friday night.

That may be as succinct and minimalist as i have been here the last few days…LOL

Oski Wee Wee,

We're lucky to have a field goal kicker on the PR !
How many teams can do that,...call a kicker up and say catch a plane to Winnipeg? Not many.

Thanks for saving us Jamie!!
