TORONTO — One of the top Nationals in the game is staying with the Toronto Argonauts.
Kurleigh Gittens Jr. has signed a three-year extension with the Argos, keeping him with the only team he’s known in the CFL through 2025.
AWE !Too Bad! I was hoping he would go to FA And the Stamps would get a shot at him. But then he is far too good, so the Argos did the right thing. Besides if he had gone to FA there would be quite a few teams trying to get his talent and willing to pay a real good wage. Right Riders, Chris Jones? 
Good start for the Argos with Gittens, Metchie and Smith re-signed. Davis, McMannis, Ouellette and Bethell-Thompson to go if they want to win the East for a third year in a row.
Added Bede today which is another plus.
Notice Gittens guarantee is only 25% for the third year which seems a bit chintzy. Having that guarantee in the third year makes me wonder if the second year is guaranteed. No doubt it will come up.
