GDT: Stampeders @ Lions November 2nd!

Aaron Peck will take over Eric Rogers’ WR spot for the Stampeders tomorrow. Don Jackson is pencilled in to start at RB. The Stampeders though have to win to ensure themselves of a home playoff game.

Meanwhile Ryan Lankford will make a rare start at WR for the rested and relaxed British Columbia Lions who would dearly love to treat their home fans to the vision of a frustrated and dejected Stampeders club.

LeoVegas has installed the Stampeders as 7.5 point favourites. Do you agree?

I don’t know I just have a feeling it will be an upset

BC sure isn’t willing to finish off their season quietly. They are giving the horses a run for their money - with Bridge in at QB! Had forgotten that they signed him. BLM meanwhile is NOT looking formidable (to say nothing about the fact that he’s a bust for fantasy points with the game in the fourth quarter).
Horses barely hanging on to a lead here! Almost looks like the Ticats/Argos game where the Ticats had less than half the usual number of starters playing!

Stamps looked a little sloppy on O. Perhaps a letdown from Sask winning earlier in the day. Lots of dropped passes. With others, BLM uncharacteristically missed the mark. Still, some credit to Claybrooks/Stubler’s defensive scheme. Say what you will about B.C.'s undersized D-line (basically 4 defensive ends), they’re not the easiest team to score majors on, and have a very good secondary.

If Brandon Bridge had come into the game earlier (instead of the second half), we may have witnessed a different outcome. Danny O’Brien only able to produce 62 yards(!) of offence for one half of play. Despite 2 picks, Bridge was throwing some darts out there and put B.C. in a position to win.

Attendance: 20,210.

Bo Levi Mitchell simply stunk big time.

:frowning:

Agreed. Hopefully BC will sign him to back up Reilly for next season. One of his picks was at least as much Carter’s fault as he gave up on the play. Lions should cut this prima donna ASAP.
