Something tells me that Jon Ryan isn’t 100% when they signed him or he would be starting.. only change I see from sat game is butlers in for johnson

Might as well call the Ryan signing a bust.

Or a distraction...

Don Jackson shows up as "Game-Time Decision" on the full depth chart: Depth-Chart-Roster-07-21-22.pdf (ticats.ca)

I believe Desmond Lawrence makes his 2022 debut this week. He seemed to be doing well late last season before getting hurt in the playoffs. Team is dressing one extra DB (three backups - including Woods III), after two went down last week (both backups, and both dressing this week - including Woods III). Can't take a chance being short-handed at that position against BC's high-powered offence.

I would say Jackson is a go tomorrow… if he wasn’t why would they only dress STE… it makes no sense..

Another theory that another ticat fan brought up was what if Jon Ryan was brought in as like a mentor/coach but they signed him as a player instead of a coach

I thought/hoped L. Durant was finally going to start?

Maybe AFTER Game 6, so his accumulated salary won't count against the cap by coming off the 6-game early.

Players listed as game time decisions are just there to make you fret and worry before the game actually starts. I believe every player that has been listed as GTD, including last year, has always played the game.

Why did Stein lie to me? He told us Ryan would be kicking in the upcoming game the day they signed him.

He is trying to see how far he can push you.

This must be the first time in 2022 that we are going with the same O-line two games in a row. I wonder if it will help?

Interesting theory but that would mean they are hell bent on keeping Domagala on the roster in some capacity. Laryea was already doing a decent job of punting. I guess if Ryan can mentor Domagala into a really good punter then Domagala could also be the emergency kicker if Small were to get injured or starts to falter.

OK, seriously: do we have any chance in this game?

Yes we do . The Lions lost to the Bombers by 21 points . BC beat Ottawa by 3 points . The Lions are playing well but they are beatable . The caveat is the short week and travel time , plus BC has had 12 days off to prepare . Not ideal for our Cats but hey , Rome wasn't destroyed in a day

You bring up a very good point.
If you had to draw up the worst road trip scenario it would be

Travel to B.C. on a very short week to play a team coming off their bye...seems a little stacked against us but let see

NO!

The way I look at this… if we lose against BC that it’s not as bad as EDm or Toronto was… Toronto fans then can’t hang it over our head our record because then atleast we can say we didn’t get our buts handled to us by BC

That doesn't get us the 2 points though. If we're now going to declare a game a success based on the fact that the opponent beat the Argos by a wider margin, then I think it's time for a new hobby.

The schedule makers probably tried to make this game more favourable for BC because they were supposed to suck again this year with a rookie QB and all that. Hamilton coming off a Grey Cup appearance was going to be the favourite in this game.

The jokes on us.

If we get out of this game healthy, I consider it a win.
