From the Editor's Desk: It's not over 'til it's over

We say this all the time, but I want to remind you once again: do not leave or turn off a CFL game early.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.cfl.ca/2024/08/08/from-the-editors-desk-its-not-over-til-its-over

Shea Patterson as the riders quarterback definitely not a upgrade from former Roughriders backup qb Mason Fine. The riders coaching staff is playing with fire as the riders don’t have any experience at the quarterback position after Patterson and the always oft injured Harris. The Roughriders need to rethink their decision in releasing Mason Fine going into the second half of their 2024 CFL season. Mason Fine is very familiar with the Riders offense and their playbook should some injury occur down the stretch to Patterson Harris. If the Riders wants to stay in the hunt and relevant to a CFL championship they need to recall quarterback Mason Fine immediately.

Mason Fine is still a free agent from the looks of things. Why he’s not in Saskatchewan right now is a mystery to me.
