D1 Standings
It seems they're on a league-wide bye-week now.
But here's a review of last weekend's matches:
I'm not sure they play OT at all, because looking at the standings on the website it appears they rank teams by "CF" (co-efficient maybe?) which is points divided by games, with the points system like what you find in Euro basketball leagues where It's 3 for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss.
Therefore, there's no need to play OT because the rankings are not purely based on win-loss.

Couple of Canadians suiting up in this one. The Pionniers, now QB'd by Tanner De Jong, were the D2 champs last year and so moved up to D1. The Flash were D1 champs last year and will likely crush the Pionniers, but we'll see.
The full slate for this weekend:
i see what you did there.

I didn't catch any action last weekend, but it looks as though De Jong's Pionniers put up a good fight against the powerhouse Flash. Not sure if some of their points came in garbage time or not, though.
love how some team names are english and some are french.
i guess Allouettes counts as french.

All the week 5 matches:
Tanner DeJong likely stands a good chance to lead the Pionniers over the Molosses. He's now 4th in the league in passing, though his completion % is a shade under 50 now. On the other hand, his TD:INT ratio sits at 9:1. All that is after playing the defending champs last weekend.
Speaking of the champs, they're in tough against the Black Panthers. The two top teams should make for a tight match. Former Ottawa Sooner Ben von Jagow plays for the champs, but so far he has only 3 receptions on the season.
Former Laval Rouge-et-Or Jonathon Breton-Robert, on the other hand, leads the league in receiving. His Grizzlies face the 0-4 Centaures, so hopefully he puts up some big numbers in that one.

Looks as thought it was a rough day for DeJong and his Pionniers.
But maybe Jonathon Breton-Robert had a good day with his Grizzlyes putting up 28 points for the victory.

The La Courneuve team posted some excellent photos from this game on their FB account. Most of what I've seen from the league looks very amateurish, but not these:

Flash vs Black Panthers is always a big game. They have won quite a few titles between them. So yeah it usually has playoff implications, and often previews the championship game
