Franklin goes to Argos

Not looking like we will see James Franklin in the green & white. My guess is that this is indicative of Ray retiring.

Ray has not decided

Don't count on it either way.

Don't count that Franklin will be an Argo. Ray signs he doesn't likely. Argos have flatly stated, even today, that if Ray signs he is the starter.

This could hold various scenarios:

  1. Franklin and Argos have discussed RR retirement/not retirement scenario and this works for both.

  2. Argos wanted to be ready when RR announces his retirement. Then they'll know what they can offer Franklin who's already in the fold.

  3. Franklin wanted to be in TO when he becomes a starter.

Giving up a valuable lineman only for the Argos to have a better chance to negotiate with Franklin doesn't make much sense otherwise.
