I remember John MacDonald pretty well, always had high hopes for him in his career here and thought he showed a lot of potential in his first couple years. Seems like injuries took a toll unfortunately.
Before the 2013 Eastern Final he and Dave Hack were at one of the pregame party bars just down the road from the Skydome. Dave mentioned John’s Indigenous background and I remember thinking how little that was publicized during his career.
Nice article here by JC Abbott who I think is likely the best contributor on 3Down Nation. Great to see Mr. MacDonald taking on a mentorship
role with these kids.
