Former Clemson QB Tajh Boyd To Riders

Former Clemson QB and Heisman finalist has signed with the Riders to help an already paper thin QB corps. He was on the Ticat neg list so I wonder if this is a trade or not

Here's a sample of his prolific college career at Death Valley.

The link you posted is 3 days old. It's the same report that was debunked the other day. Nothing to see here.

Nice move.

To sign with the Riders, Boyd must first get the Ticats to remove him from their neg list. He is forcing their hand by reporting for work in Hamilton. If the Ticats can't sign him then he must be released or his rights traded.

Wish the title of the thread could be changed, as it appears that Boyd will be heading to the rival Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Blue Bombers acquire negotiation rights to QB Tajh Boyd from Tiger-Cats
Winnipeg sends Hamilton conditional pick in 2017 draft

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers acquired the negotiation list rights to quarterback Tajh Boyd from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2017 CFL draft.

The six-foot 225-pound pivot spent four seasons at Clemson and led the Tigers to an Orange Bowl victory in his senior year. He has been added to the Blue Bombers’ practice roster. Boyd was the ACC player of the year in 2012

Might be a good fit for the Bombers. Based on seeing those highlights he looks like he is used to playing behind a horrible O-Line.
