Football Weekend in Ontario

Disappointing that the CFL doesn't seem to be involved in this event.

*The organization is excited to showcase all of the football talents and minds this province has participating or competing in the sport. *

The highlights of the weekend include the inaugural Canadian Collegiate Women’s Flag Showcase, the Football Ontario Coaching Mega Clinic, the Football Ontario Hall of Fame 2022 Class Induction, the Football Canada 1st Down ‘Try Football Day’, as well as the Vanier Cup Championship Game.

Football Ontario Announces Football Canada 1st Down Try Football Day

Football Canada 1st Down Try Football Day to be held November 26

Hamilton, Ontario – Football Ontario has announced the Football Canada 1st Down Try Football Day to be held at Western University in London on November 26, 2022 as a part of Football Weekend in Ontario. The event will take place on the grass rugby field at Western University across from the Athletic Centre.

The Football Canada 1st Down ‘Try Football’ Day will be a FREE EVENT put on by Football Ontario to encourage youth to get out and active and learn some of the fundamentals of the sport and will take place in the morning on Saturday, November 26th at Western University. The event is for all kids aged 4-12.

Yes the CFL should be there

now have they tried and were told to stay away or

were approached by London organizers and were turned down .

Eventually the NFL will be there

and say hey future wallets let me see what we can do to help you make choices in your future pro sports entertainment .

The CFL seems to have other priorities than helping amateur football at times.

The Vanier Cup being held 6 days after the Grey Cup tells you all you need to know.

The NFL has done more for amateur football in Canada than the CFL has at times (NFL play 60 comes to mind)
