I am not saying I would take one over the other...I am saying that when comparing them its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other
Special Teams MOP will be interesting

That, and trading up to draft Philpot. The kid is only 22 and he's already making a positive impact on offense. If we don't mess this up and develop him properly, he could be a game-changer for us for the next decade at least.
I think it was a good trade when it happened. Mario Alford was injured, and he was injured throughout most of the prior season as well. Worthy, had a couple great games on special teams for us, and management probably thought we could afford to lose Alford, and get something for him. It just so happened Mario Alford was able to get healthy, and put together a formidable year with the Roughriders. If anything both teams won the trade.
Worthy has had a great year. I don't regret that trade at all. Alford was always injured and SSK didn't even make the playoffs.
Maciocia has made very few unforced errors, so he deserves credits for being a steady hand. I didn't like some of his decisions but they are his to make and like the Alford vs Worthey or Harris vs Adams Jr. These can be justified either way. Now get Anthony to Convince Trestman to take on last ride and he the Mooch can enjoy another four or five year run as GM.
As much as i loved MT, it's time to move on...you can never go back as the expression goes.
Still my prediction
I understand, my position is that I would have been ok with a decision to trade or no trade
The Als biggest issues are discipline and execution/consistency and that is where Trestman excels. Another plus, he will work with anyone there, he's not a Chris Jones or a Jason Maas that needs his "entourage" the relationship with him and Calvillo is already existing. Finally, he's beloved by fans, respected by the french media. For Maciocia, Trestman has zero interest in football operations. We couldn't do better. I agree it doesn't mean back to back Grey Cups and we also agree that sequels are seldom as good as the originals but every once in a while a Maverick comes around. I think it is a great fit.
You and Hfx both make good points. I wouldn't dismiss Trestman as a possibility, but I wouldn't pursue it to the exclusion of other options. He should be in the mix along with other qualified candidates.
Go hard after Trestman disciple ! (Brady and Milanovich)
I know the chance are low that they want to return (the chances are higher then Trestman though), but let me dream haha
Worked quite well in Toronto in 2017
