Favorite CFL Memory?

Mine would have to be when Toronto & Kerwin Bell came back to Winnipeg for the first time since being kicked out of town. Kerwin rushed for a short yard TD, and tried to rub it in to the bombers by spiking the ball in the endzone. Only thing was that when he spiked it it bounced up and sacked in in the you know what!
He dropped like a ton of bricks, and got called for a penalty

Yeah, I remember that play. In BC with their home crowd, Bombers were big underdogs, and that INT made me jump out of my seat

McMannus to Flutie, in calgary, in the snow, in 94, You Bet

I have two--one good and one bad. The good one was "The Kick", in the 1989 Grey Cup that gave Saskatchewan its first GC victory in 23 yrs. The bad memory was the Tony Gabriel catch in the 1976 GC game, it was a heartbreaker.

yeah, that be one of my bad memories too. And although its sortof off topic, I might add that by far my worst football moment ever was seeing BO JACKSON walk off the field for the last time with his football career ending bad hip injury, sobbb.

McManus to Flutie in 99 (One handed TD catch)

Ian Sunter’s Grey Cup winning field goal in Hamilton in 1972

Tony Champion’s spinning, backwards diving, cracked rib, TD catch in the dying minutes to give Hamilton the lead in the 89 Grey Cup

Odd one here, Sacramento Gold Miners v. the Stamps in 1993. Gold Miners opener, had Stamps on the ropes, but Flutie pulled it out at the end! I was in Sac for that game.

Semi finals ... Tom Burgess' sprint up the middle on third and 21 .. made the first down .. we scored .. went to the cup and won in BC in 1990 over Edmonton ...

GO BOMBERS!!!

...FOG BOWL....Leo Lewis....running out of the fog...and catching a thirty yarder from Kenny Ploen....to this day i don't know how they ever completed that pass...it shows when you have the kind of chemistry these guys had ....somethings just become automatic...Bombers won that Grey Cup by the way...it was oh so sweet... :rockin:

Fog Bowl was before my time, but I've heard it was a dandy!
Another great memory, besides championships, is the game where Roberts and Sellars combined for rushing for something like 300 yards against Saskatchewan. I remember watching Sellars dragging 3 roughriders for about 20 yards!!

Last year's grey cup, all in all, the best game of football ever played IMO. The one play that sticks out in my mind is with about 1 minute remaning, down by 5, on a 3rd and 3, Ricky Ray goes deep to Mitchell. I remember the ball hanging up in the air for eternity, and passing deep on a 3rd and 3 ?!?. And just thinking to myself that this play will determine the esks season.
Result: Completion to Mookie Mitchell, for a gain of 31 yards, almost ending the drive to put the esks up on the scoresheet.

1995 Grey Cup. The Cup goes South!!!! :rockin:

thats gotta be the funniest CFL blooper 2nd is the ref doing a roll and kept running my fave CFL moment - winning tickets to the 94 cup in Vancouver - contest come up with a cheer for canadian team- Hit em hard stand on gaurd dont give a yard!

Any game that Johnny Rodgers played in! He is the reason we have a no yards rule in the CFL to this day!

As a Husker in the NCAA Rodgers was recently voted into the top 100 players of all time.

His signature rushing game was also his last as a Husker. In the 1973 Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, he ran for three touchdowns and caught a 50-yard pass for a fourth in their 40-6 win. For the game, Rogers carried the ball 15 times for 81 yards and three touchdowns, caught three passes for 71 yards and a touchdown and if that wasn't enough, he threw 52-yard touchdown pass.

The "ordinary superstar" brought this level to the CFL and did not disappoint!

one of the first BB games I ever saw on TV was when they beat the Stamps in their last game for the 2004 season, where Eric Carter intercepted the ball for a TD, and had he played last season, he might have had more than 50 TDs in his career.

and who could have forgotten the Hit Peterson gave that Stamp player in the 2nd half?

and the this day in the CFL showed the West Green Riders Vs. the East Red Riders wearing their Red and Gold unifroms in 1994. :cowboy:

Kanga, I thought your best memory was when you correctly predicted the Bombers would beat BC last season. Boy, did we hear about that one !

yeah, that's another good memory for me, but that 2004 game above I still have on tape, and being one of the first CFL games I saw, it ranks higher.

besides, I gave that game the Best CFL game of 2005 award months ago.

My favourite memory isn't an Argo one, but the Argos were involved in the game: Eddie Brown's remarkable "juggling" catch off his foot for a Eskimo TD in the '96 Grey Cup. That play would make a fan of the CFL out of anyone.
