A tight end might mean there could be better blocking at that position. Looking at Bedard's stats, however, catching three short passes a year is not impressive. I do hope that the Canadian draft will produce someone to give Deslauriers competition.
He's also a very good long snapper. Had one misshap this year in a close game but he's been a very good player and leader for UConn.
