Gotta admit it: I was down on Fajardo for most of the year. Didn’t think he was more than a game manager. Boy did he rise to the occasion today.

I think Maas called a brilliant game for Fajardo today … stuck to the short game where Winnipeg was leaving receivers wide open and the receivers did a BRILIANT job getting YACS … Cody made a few big passes when he needed to.

The irony is, a year ago Fajardo and Mass couldn’t get anything going in Saskatchewan.
What’s up with that

I thought he moved the offence pretty well all game against the Bombers. Definitely most of the big explosive plays today were Montreal’s.

Good on Cody, especially after last season…

The combination of Maas/Calvillo/Fajardo were on the top of their game today. The combination of Pierce/Collaros, not so much.

Dickenson was the biggest problem

Cody played well today, and showed what he is capable of in the right environment.

I am truly happy for him.

Hey Saskatchewan, it was Jason’s and Cody’s fault. LOL

Hey, some of us blamed Dickenson and ODay the whole time!

But this is about Cody’s great performance today. I say we keep the focus on him going forward, not the guys who blamed him in the past.

Cody had a great game. I was not trying to lay shade on that accomplishment. I was throwing salt in that large Saskatchewan wound

That 3rd and 5 bomb on the final drive was incredible. Fajardo stepped up and was big in the biggest moments

Spieker made a great catch too. Had to climb the ladder a bit to get it. Gutsy call by Maas, great execution by both Fajardo and Spieker.

Fajardo was amazing tonight! 3rd and 5 with the game on the line, he steps up and gets it done. So happy for the guy and team.

Cody played his best game of the season, by far … and I too am happy for him after last season … but beware assuming ANY players’ best should often be expected of him.

has everyone forgot Cody with a great pass got his team to the one yard line at the end of the half… And was NOT on the field during the bomber goal line stand.
That alone could have been the death knell for the Als. Anyone not giving credit to Cody for the great 4th quarter quarterbacking does not know football :football:

I give Fajardo credit for what he did … he obviously had to, and did, make the throws … many clutch.

But I do also think a lot of it had to do with play-calling allowing Cody to “stay within himself” and for the most part not having to force “high-risk/hero” throws … and with the emphasis largely on the shorter passing game the receivers added a TON of YACS.

If you feel that is disrespecting CF I would suggest you may be disrespecting Maas et al and the receiving corps (including the RBs) … the ENTIRE offence (including the OL) delivered.

Was not speaking you your reply or anything reply that gave credit. My rey is only about the fans trashing his play or saying he was lucky
