PERSONAL -- Born Jan. 21, 1985. He is the son of Sonia & Andrei Rodriguez and the brother of Marcelino Rodriguez. Prechae majored in sociology at Auburn University.

High School -- Standout in basketball and football at Jefferson High School, Tampa, Florida. His brother Marcelino (6'4, 203lb.) was also a standout in basketball at Jefferson High School and earned a scholarship to UCF.

Junior College -- Hauled in 39 catches for 553 yards and two touchdowns... Returned 11 kicks for 236 yards... Auburn-2005 -- Saw action in 11 games ... Caught 13 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown ... For the second straight game, posted a team-high in yards against Kentucky ... Had 79 against Kentucky ... One of three catches against the Wildcats was a team season-high 41-yard touchdown in the second quarter ... Rushed for a 5-yard reverse touchdown early in the fourth quarter against the Wildcats ... Tied for the team lead with three receptions and led with 55 yards receiving against Ole Miss ... Had one reception, an 18-yarder, against South Carolina ... Surpassed the 100-yard receiving mark on the season against the Gamecocks ... Rodriguez went undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft and attended a tryout camp for the New York Jets, however he was not signed. After his failed tryout he signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 7 and was expected to play a big role in the Tiger-Cats 2008 team. Against the Edmonton Eskimos on July 26, Richie Williams threw a pass to Rodriguez for 46 yards which helped Jesse Lumsden score a touchdown on the next play. On September 13, once again against the Eskimos, Rodriguez caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Casey Printers including an 18 yard catch that ended a 97 yard possession. The week after the Edmonton game, the Tiger-Cats faced the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the "Hall of Fame Game" in which Rodriguez caught a touchdown. In a late season game against the first place Montreal Alouettes, Rodriguez recorded 12 catches for a total of 198 yards with three touchdowns. His performance helped first game head coach Marcel Bellefeuille his first win. In the Tiger-Cats final home game of 2008 on October 25, Rodriguez had 60 yards making him 32 yards of the 1,000 yard mark. Before the final game of the season, Rodriguez was considered a possible CFL Rookie of the Year winner, with Weston Dressler of the Saskatchewan Roughriders being his main competition. Dressler ended up winning but Rodriguez received the 2008 CFL East Division Rookie of the Year award. He ended the year with 70 catches, 1,099 yards and seven touchdowns.
