It lists the date as Sunday,August 26.
The last year we had a Sunday August 26 was 2001. I think we had more than 7 teams in the league then.
Is this accurate from 2001 otherwise?

I saw that page two years ago, if I recall. The 2001 start was pretty much like that, if memory serves me.
