Eskimo's sign Beardo

Not sure yet whether he is coming to replace Shaw or to send a message to him.

Still can't understand what the Lions were thinking when they cut this guy...

Probably the last year of his contract, between expansion and word that Edmonton would potentially sign him as a free agent. Buono is cutting his losses and can redirect that money.

Maybe ONeill thinks he is better than the Lions thought he was. According to a Province article ONeill had been offered an extension by the Lions. It doesn't sound like the Lions were anxious to get rid of ONeill. I was quite surprised when I read ONeill was let go. Maybe he is over estimating his abilities. Regardless, the Lions had better get a good back up for McCallum. I don't think Paul McCallum can go too much longer. He's showing signs of wear and tear.

Here's an interesting article which helps explain why ONeill was let go by the Lions:

Long lost twin of Bryan???? Holy Doppelganger !!!!! Between those two beards you have the world's biggest squirrel's nest.

Interesting... perhaps they see a better future for Shott?

I prefer to compare to another footballer, this time rugby football and Canada's Adam Kleeberger.

WOW!!!!!! LOL.....These three could have been triplets!!! They look like they all could star in "Duck Dynasty"

The article I read of an interview with Wally Buono, Wally said they were trying to renegotiate his contract and O’Neil wouldn’t agree to a long term contract. He would only agree to a short term deal. Wally didn’t feel it was best to keep someone on the roster and waste time developing a player that didn’t want to be here so he cut him. I think the only person that thought he was worth is O’Neil.
