Eskimos receive 2005 Grey Cup rings
(Edmonton) The Honourable Norman L. Kwong. Lieutenant Governor of Alberta presented Edmonton Eskimo players and coaches with their 2005 Grey Cup championship rings at a private ceremony Friday evening in Edmonton.
Designed by Jostens with creative input from several Eskimo players, the ring is both a celebration of the club’s winning tradition and a depiction of the playoff run that culminated in Edmonton’s incredible double overtime victory against Montreal in the 93rd Grey Cup game in Vancouver.
The Eskimos 2005 Grey Cup ring has an appraised value of $13,000, total diamond weight 2.05 carats and weighs 61 grams. The focal point of the ring is the 20 pt. marquise cut diamond setting, on top of the Grey Cup.

Lower deck - 20 round cut diamonds pave set in yellow gold.
Outside - 34 round cut diamonds celebrate pro-record consecutive playoff appearances – total of 54 diamonds symbolizes each player.
Left Shank - Final score “Edmonton 38 Montreal 35? on top and “Double OT? on bottom, 3 round diamonds on a road, represent 3 road wins - 1 in Calgary & 2 in Vancouver. “2005? and “93rd Grey Cup? logo in yellow gold to represent team colours.

Eskimo training camp starts May 21st at Clarke Stadium. The first pre-season game is Saturday, June 3 at Saskatchewan.
