Has anybody else been having this popup come up today ?
It reads Error : Something went wrong …Go Back / Try Again .
I have had it occur on numerous occasions since this morning .

I’ve been on a few times but not yet so far for me. Unusually I have been on a computer and not my phone if that makes any difference.
Well that’s strange because I am usually on here on my laptop and never on my phone . Go figure ?

Does the error happen when trying to access specific pages or does it happen at random?
In the meantime, I would recommend resetting your browser if you’re using mobile, and consider clearing your cache and cookies for the CFL Forums site.

It was happening when I was posting or trying to reply to a post most of the time . It was also occurring at times when I was going from one thread to another . Probably just a glitch in the matrix but I just figured it was worth informing you about it .

Probably helpful to see if it’s happening around the same time everyday. Could be there is system maintenance or something going on. I know they updated a few weeks ago so might be something someone forgot to schedule is runnung.

Well apparently it’s back again . Just started about a half hour ago and has now done it to me twice . For the record I’m on a laptop and not on my phone .

It has been happening to me again as well and I let @BetweenTheGoalposts know this morning so hopefully he can sort it out. I’m using an iphone so the problem appears to be ubiquitous.

If I’m remembering things right, that “Error: Something went wrong…” popup usually shows up when there’s a browser hiccup or a temporary glitch on the server side.
Is it happening right when you’re loading the site, or more so when switching between threads or trying to post? I remember @bobo82 mentioned it was showing up while replying before, so wondering if that’s still the case.
I haven’t been able to reproduce the error myself yet, and nothing is jumping out on the admin side so far.
For now, try the usual suspects:
- Updating your browser to the latest version (Chrome/Firefox/Safari)
- Clear your cache and cookies
I’ve got to go pick up the cat from the vet, but I’ll dig into it some more once I’m back. Definitely a strange one.

It’s definitely a site problem/change. Almost every time I pick up my phone I am asked to log in again. The same problem doesn’ occur on my PC at work. Until the problem occurred for the first time a couple of months ago I had been looged in to the site permanently since 2021. I can see being booted out once a year or so just to check to see if you still have a pulse, but half a dozen times a day isn’t convenient.
Sorry but I just realized Bobo and this thread may be talking about a different problem. I actually haven’t been receiving error messages like Bobo, but are continually being asked to log in again.
