During the 2015 season, Browner had 76 tackles, 10 passes defensed and one interception. He became the most penalized player in a single season since 2001 after incurring 24 penalties.
Browner also led the league in penalties committed in the 2011 and 2014 seasons.
And yet despite all that, Browner won back to back Super Bowls with the Seahawks in 2013 and the Patriots in 2014 and also a Grey Cup with the Stampeders in 2008. Believe me though as a huge Saint fan, his play last year was terrible for the most part and Breaux totally outshone him playing at the other corner position this season. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that the Saints released him.
he is a big tough DB. If you graded his work based on his coverage ability only he would grade at the bottom every time. But his team mates love him and the opposition hates him.
He has that winners intangible that is undeniable though but hard to put a value on.
I am sure he will hook up with another NFL team if he wants to still play.
