Elks bring back quarterback Dakota Prukop, sign four to practice roster

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks have signed American Dakota Prukop, the team announced Sunday.

The veteran CFL quarterback returns for a second stint with Edmonton after being released by the BC Lions in late May. Prukop suited up in eight games for the Double E in 2021, racking up 134 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

and Global kicker Dean Faithfull to the practice roster.

Right on Dean-er is back. Love him and his story. Personally, I would have brought back Blanchard but I don’t think there is a huge market for young kickers right now so I bet they could get him back anytime.

I agree. Blanchard would be better but Faithfull is a feel good story . And let’s be honest - Bede is doing the kicking. Prukop fills a need as the 3rd down guy.

Prukop will likely be #3 if he’s healthy. Third downs and a run package I would bet.
