ELF is Still Alive?

Last year, Barcelona had Lautaro Frecha in their defense. Never quite sure who'll be on the Euro league rosters till gametime, so we'll see if he's still there this year.

I'll be cheering for the Fehervar Enthroners from Hungary. This will be their first season in ELF. Hec-Crighton-winner Chris Merchant was their QB last year. Sadly, he has since retired after suffering an ACL injury in Australia. But I'll still be rooting for Fehervar to make an impact in ELF.

You know, being from Paris, I was really looking forward to supporting the team. But the name Saints is just plain dumb. With all the cool names they could have come up with (Musketeers/Mousquetaires was a favorite), they chose one that has no meaning, no history associated with Paris, and sounds WAY TOO CLOSE to Paris Saint Germain. Not gonna help those Google searches much!

If the rumors are true, though, they'll play there, right in the middle of the city. 20k seats, rugby grounds

Its right around the corner from Parc des Princes, which is the PSG stadium

wow that’s amazing.

imagine living in one of those flats across from the stadiums on game day.

I've been to the Parc des Princes for a PSG game. That place shakes like hell when the crowd gets going. Never been to Jean Bouin though (name of the smaller stadium where the football team will play)

I had no idea until now that there was a thread just for the ELF. Anyway, cross-posted from the "Football All Year" thread as follows:

I guess they have to officially rename the three musketeers: Offense, Defense and Special teams.

I'm super stoked about the change, and most of the fans are  It really made no sense to have Saints as our monicker, as it really doesn't ring a bell here.

I wouldn't mind some kind of association with the NOLA team down the line, given the common history of France & Louisiana, but made it sound too much like a farm team. And to be honest, Paris Saint Germain (soccer) reigns supreme here, so wouldn't have helped with medias, Google searches, etc
