Time for Hank to put two together, wins that is. Ham are puddy cats when it comes to playing in the cold weather.
unfortunately mr. catfish I think you could be right
Yowza, it might be one of those “I WAS IN THE POOL!!! I WAS IN THE POOL!!!” (Costanza 1995) kind of walkthroughs / games tomorrow for the Ticats
Looks they’e going with a 3rd import on the O-line with Nick Hennessey, rather than Baillargeon.
Edmonton is in a tail spin, with QB issues, their OC being demoted, and their head coach takes over the OC job as well.
Considering that Burris always played well in Edmonton when he was a Stampeder, I would expect a TiCat win !!
Then again, what is it now, 10 years since we last won a game in Edmonton ?? <!-- s:roll: --><!-- s:roll: -->
Time for the Cats to either put up or shut up, as far as being a contending football team is concerned !!
I hope they win but they been few and far apart up to now.
What I have noticed in this, my first season of watching all of the games, there is no team Hamilton cnt beat or get beat by, much parity in the CFL. Time for CW to have another punt return for a TD and at least 1 receiving TD. Burriss has to look his way more - Hamilton 35 Edmonton 27.
I like the way you think!
Williams is probably drawing extra coverage, which should open things up for the others.
Let’s keep an eye on Hennessey’s performance.
A couple of streaks on the line; what is it something like ten years since we have won in Edmonton. The Esks have lost five in a row (look how we played when that was our situation). Our one good game, one bad game, Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hyde syndrome. Hmm. my heart and my head say the Ticats win 32-17 and the stars of the game are Burris, Fantuz, and we have another pic if not two on defence. Okay it's more heart then head but I stand by my prediction.
The Ti-Cats have won just once in Edmonton in the last 10 years. They beat the Esks 20-18 in Edmonton in 2006. But aside from last year’s 28-10 loss, Edmonton has won by less than a touchdown in the other encounters. The wins haven’t come, but the games have been close.
I like it Blog! Even more confident now of a big Ticat win but hey I think the Cats are going to beat the Lions next week as well whereas I am certain others think we will loose big. GO CATS!!
Maybe I have visions of last year’s 42-10 thumping in my head, but I also think the Cats will beat the Lions next week.
With the defense coming into it's own, the offense won't have to score as much, puts a balanced team out there..... I fully expect a win from the Cats, this team is shaping up!
And I see that Hennessey is listed as the starting LG on the depth chart, with Baillargeon backing up Husband: http://ticats.ca/depthchart/game/depthid/9813
Hennessey will be a player to watch. Another player to watch will be newly-acquired DT Jacquies Smith. Drew reported that he expect Smith to start, though on the depth chart, Smith is listed as a backup. Either way, I would like to see how he’ll do in his debut.
Anyway, back to predictions.
I will say it’s hard to predict what will happen with this Ticat team. But I will predict that the D will do well enough to get Edmonton fans to heckle Reed to put Nichols in to replace KJ. Nichols actually wasn’t that bad last week, but Reed said that performance was good enough to make Nichols #2 on the depth chart. So now Jyles is behind a very inexperienced Nichols and a well-past-his-prime Joseph who I understand just turned 39. Doesn’t that make the Ray trade look even better? But I digress.
Unfortunately, I do still predict that Edmonton will win, and the last few pages of the game thread will be along the lines of “fire everyone!” again. But again, it’s hard to predict what’ll happen and I could be wrong.
This team does need to get off to a good start. They need to take that Edmonton crowd out of the game and make it so that the EDM offence can’t just rely on their RBs. But of course, it would be great if this Ticat team could play at least close to a full 60 minutes, like they did the last times these teams met.
Just one other thing I'd like to point out: Both teams do have injury issues, as Edmonton is missing former Ticats Simeon Rottier and Darcy Brown in addition to missing J.C. Sherritt. We have been affected by injuries throughout much of the season and could use some of those injured players back. But I noticed that Brock Campbell is not on the injured list, but on the practice roster now: http://ticats.ca/roster/index/team/6
I'm not sure if either team can use injuries as an excuse, although I predict that at least some fans of the team that loses will.
This is a heart and soul game and we will see tonight if the team has any at all. It's easier to beat a down team at home than it is on the road. Teams with heart can win on the road, teams without cannot. Gut check time!
Edmonton - 31
Hamilton - 24

All season long Ham has come to the rescue of teams and player who have been struggling. Why should to-nite be any different. Every time fans would feel like Ham was going to win they seem to find a way of frigging it up and losing. Hot and cold running Hank. Other than that I sure hope they find a way to win.
The Eskimos are extremely vulnerable right now. Long losing streak, injuries at key positions, instability at QB and a sputtering offense now being run by Kavis Reed who is an inexperienced OC. Plus they are facing a team that demolished them 51-8 a few weeks ago. Doesn't look to promising for the Esks.
So if the Cats blow this opportunity to slay such a wounded animal then they don't even deserve a playoff spot.

I agree. So I sure hope we win. …
