… Well of course they did.

Great signing by the Elks. I like what the receiving corps looks like in Edmonton.

Is he a step up from Lewis or Lawler?

The last half of last season in BC he looked like he was trying to play himself off the team. Don’t know what was going on but he just didn’t look very good in 2024 at all.

That could be the QB thing in BC if it was a second half deal. Don’t know. Do know he has shown some skill in the past.

He was also playing injured which is why he got a settlement from BC.

Playing injured he was, but that doesn’t excuse the number of drops he had. If he could run well enough to get open then the drops are on him.

Two things.

  1. Was he on the field because the medical staff said he was ready to go when he wasn’t necessarily ready? He had to file a grievance to get BC to pay him his bonus & they released him while injured, contrary to league rules.

2). Reportedly he had knee problems - that is no small thing coming from myself who had a tear in knee ligaments & likes to ski in the winter & ride in the summer among other things. I wouldn’t blame him if he was gun shy about catching balls in coverage if you’re playing with knee problems.

When Hollins was healthy he had 656 yds his 1st 6 games in 2024. Add in the 1,173 from 2023 & he had a stretch of 24 games where he put up over 1,800 yds receiving. IF healthy, Hollins will be a guy teams will have to watch out for in 2025.

I don’t see this as a high risk signing, anymore than I agree with those who question Schoen’s abilities after his knee problems, which kept him off the field entirely - so likely more serious.
