Can’t understand why Montreal wouldn’t make a better effort at keeping Harris, Lewis and Wieneke. They were just starting to get good and now it looks like they’re headed for the basement. Ottawa went from 3 Grey cup appearances in 4 years to perennial last place teams when they lost Harris, Powell and Ellington to free agency in 2019. Big mistake for the Als. Hope it’s not fatal.

You have to remember that the GM had his hands tied until Monday , had no power to sign anybody due to the ownership situation , and by that time it was to late as those key players agreed to terms elsewhere
