EAST FINAL: A TOUGH TICKET SELL

It's great to see how we will no doubt have sellouts already confirmed in Regina and looking good for the Peg. Then next week no doubt Cowtown will sellout the 35,000+ seats.
As for Montreal, the dome has granted way more seats and the latest is it will be much more difficult to sell over 100,000+ seats for two weekends in a row.
Here is the latest, unfortunately Larry Smith will not reveal the current sold count for the Final until next week.

The problem is that the big o is a dump. It's big and cold.

The Alouttes have been very successful over the past 8 years and people probably expect them to be in the GC and not lose the East final.

The problem is that the Big O doesn't make their tickets desireable. If it was played at Molson Stadium there would be a bigger buzz because let's say there are 10-15K people who want to go but can't.

In a 60K seat stadium you get your 21K from Molson plus 15k for the people who want to go and you are at less than 40K people and you have no "buzz" about the game.

It's all about supply and demand. If you have more supply than demand you aren't going to have that buzz.

This is where Rough Rider fans jump in and say, oh Montreal doesn't support their team. In SSK we support our team and sell out, blah, blah, blah. I don't want to hear it. When you start losing you can eat crow.

If Montreal makes the Grey Cup it will be sold out for sure.

So in SSK they have 31K seats to sell and let's say Montreal sells 40k. People are still going to complain that SSK sold out. Whatever.

I don't know the pricing for the East final but I do know that Molson tickets are on the expensive side. Not everyone can afford tickets to the CFL.

Still platinum tickets available:

My search turned up section 240, row J

Look at the cheaper seats tho, they are more sold out, its like last years Grey Cup you couldnt get a seat in the top deck, give it some time once we no what team we are playing. You can see the hype building a little in the newspapers tho, The Gazette is have full page articles about the Team so you will see people buying tickets, keep in mind those tickets went on sale a month ago, but people were not paying attention, there will be a push come sunday!
