All I know is that if Winnipeg doesn’t roster Schoen, Demski & Bailey, their goose is cooked vs. a reasonably healthy Toronto group.
However, before I (or the football media) writes off the 3 Amigos of Wpg. WRs, we all know Mike O’Shea’s propensity to cloud accurate injury information.
If its a cold & dank, windy & snowy Saturday in Winnipeg, having 5 fleet-footed WRs may not be as important as having a persistent & effective running attack.
Here’s my off-the-cuff thoughts on Wpg. injuries.
-
Schoen - obviously the superstar of this Group of 3; he’s got a legit injury, he’s also one tough hombre. I’d say he’s under 30% to dress, 15% to be effective.
-
Bailey - an important and under-rated cog in the Bomber offense. He obviously strained something in Bombers final game. I’d say he’s 55% to dress, 33% to be game effective. His blocking will also be missed. He’s bigger than most folks think.
-
Demski - of the 3 amigo WRs, this one is the guy who needs to roster and needs to be solid. Missing a ton of practice time which effects his timing with Collaros a tad, but not insurmountable. I’d say Demski is 80% to start and 60% to be effective with his short patterns & gritty YAC yards.
