Dyakowski & Fantuz host Oxford Learning Centre Opening

Peter Dyakowski and Andy Fantuz will be hosting their Oxford Learning Hamilton’s Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday, October 5, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 930 Upper Paradise Road.

Oxford Learning provides quality after-school educational support for students of all ages and grades. Founded in London, Ontario in 1984, Oxford Learning helps students develop their learning confidence along side basic school skills such as reading and math.

“Confidence is a big part of helping children get better grades,? says Fantuz. “When children start to feel better about their learning abilities, they can accomplish anything. We’re really happy to be bringing these learning opportunities to the Hamilton community.?

Each Oxford Learning program begins with an in depth assessment of a child’s learning strengths and weaknesses. This process allows students to be placed in a program where they will get academic support in a way that best meets their learning needs. Students work in small groups with teachers to develop their proficiency in math or reading, building their self-confidence as they work.

Oxford Learning Hamilton will be open in time for upcoming progress reports. “It’s a perfect time to re-introduce our centre to the community,? says Dyakowski. “Progress reports are the first time that students get feedback on how the school year is doing and we’re open and ready to help.?

Hamilton residents are invited to drop by the centre at 930 Upper Paradise Road to get more information about Oxford Learning’s programs and meet Fantuz and Dyakowski during the Grand Opening Celebration. Teammate Henry Burris and many other Ticats will be on hand for support. There will be prizes, games, and treats as well as special enrollment incentives.
