Duane Forde provides an informative summary of the performances of the more notable players who attended the CFL E-Camp last weekend. It leads one to take another look at who the first round draft choices could and should be.http://www.tsn.ca/columnists/duane_ford ... pStory_cfl
If Forde is right, and Rottier may be better suited to play guard rather than tackle, I can see the Ticats trading their first overall pick for a starter on the D-Line, and using their 3rd overall pick to take receiver Matt Carter, who seemed to have one of the best camps out of everyone invited.
Forde also doesn't offer a great review of Tristan Black, who a lot of posters on this forum think is the next great Canadian MLB.
DF knows his stuff, that's for sure.
Let's hire Forde to be our GM in waiting???
Obie was then hired to fill the post !!
The Cats wanted to hire both Polian and Forde to work under Obie.
It appears Black and Rottier didn't do enough to secure top spots and have opened the competition.
Well, Forde would be a great choice as Assistant GM if Polian leaves. He really does seem to know player evaluation. Tom Higgins would be fantastic I think. Danny Mac could be groomed to be the next one down the road.
Great to have succession planning, but of course things rarely work out exactly as planned.
BTW, Dennis' name is still listed on our football operations staff.
