Looks like he heading to work with Burkey in Ottawa
Veteran CFL personnel man Drew Allemang is set to join the personnel department with the Ottawa Redblacks, per sources.
Thanks for posting, Onknight.
No surprise, at all, that Drew will soon be working in the city where his dad started, and ended, his CFL career and that he’ll again be with Shawn, and other familiar faces.
By my count, so far in this off season “cleaning”, the club’s listings of personnel show:
1 GM gone, 1 added
11 names from the coaching staff gone, 1 added
4 names from the football ops staff gone, 3 added
4 players gone, 13 added (7 of which have not yet been announced)
Also of note, there have been no reported contract extensions for any of the club’s pending free agents.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the football club has hired Cyril Penn as director of player personnel, Alex Russell as director of scouting, and Dane Vandernat as director of pro scouting.
Of all inside Tiger-Cat information, we fans don’t know, the Steinauer story is the one I’d most like to know. How, and why, did the job titles and duties, whatever they are, come about? My guess, going into last season, was that he’d been given an office to occupy until whatever contract he had ran out. Could that, still, be the case?
Incidentally I hit the thumbs up icon on the post above by mistake.
