TORONTO — If the Toronto Argonauts had to exorcise any playoff demons, they ran them out of BMO Field on Saturday.
Good game for the argos - they started out slow, and after the first quarter I thought that Ottawa would win or it be would a very tight game.
The Argos had me worried for much of the game. I understood their D was taking away the bomb but Crum had lots of time to pass and pick apart the secondary as a result. I thought the Argo pass rush would net more sacks. Fortunately Kelly’s strength is throwing the deep ball and that’s the reason they won. The D must play tighter against Montreal.

Ottawa had no answer for Chad Kelly and the Argo O. Explosive. They can score from seemingly anywhere on the field. Will be fun to see what they can do in MTL against a very good D.
A valiant effort by Ottawa REDBLACKS, just couldn’t up that energy for the entire hour, congratulations Argos. a very well played game.

Ottawa’s lack of a between the tackles run game was a big part of their downfall. You just cant win without balance…

Yes it was a valiant effort by the RedBlacks. Dru Brown was out standing except for the two late interceptions. Maybe his arm became tired throwing 61 passes. I was impressed with veteran O Lineman Ruby stepping up at Left Tackle for the RedBlacks. Maybe he should have been playing there all season. Ottawa have a good front 7 and some good DB’s but the Argos with Kelly and his receivers made it look easy at times. I might add that though Ottawa missed former Argo Pickett which was a big loss for them.
Should be a great final next week in Montreal. Hopefully Coxie will be back at WR to give Kelly another top receiver. Montreal could have maybe put 40-50,000 in the Owe for this one.
