Don Sutherin

Does anyone think Sutherin would be a good fit back with the club and at DC? with that stingy, snake slithering, bend but dont break football???!!!!

Sudsy would be a great DC, but unfortunately you can't turn back the hands of time. I don't think he is physically capable of patrolling the sidelines or running practices anymore. Last time he was up, I believe as a guest coach, he was having difficulty with his legs.

Another factor is that you would have trouble getting him back here as long as Lancaster is associated with the team. They had a major falling out.

Last I heard he was living in Ohio to be close to his family (?)

I don't think our db's are ready to make Suthrin/Stubler system work. You need guys who are experienced and have the patience to make it work, our guys would blow coverages all over the place.

I hear you, Drexl…but we need to establish a system. It’s chicken and egg, and boy do we need that egg! LOL

Simply put, we need a DC with a clue who can work with the head coach and GM to get personnel that can fit into a system, not a high-school ready Helen Keller playcalling charade.

Sudsy is not an option from all reports because of his health and life choices. I wish him all the best.

Less Browne on line one.

Oski Wee Wee,

Sudsy for DC, Lancaster for HC, and while we're at it let's get Hitchcock and Morreale back.

Maybe Flutie too.

What's Andrew Grigg doing these days.

I've seen Mosca and Gabriel around IWS too.

I would have gone way old school with Sazio, Jim. LOL I do think more Ticat content re position coaches would be nice (the training camp guest coaching is a good way to tap into that resource), but the key thing is that the coordinators and main football operations people with the 2008 edition of the team MUST be CFL-ready with experience in the tank. Period.

Oski Wee Wee,

only if it was 1998

No matter how many times I see it, I’m always surprised when people rant about the current guys not having enough coaching experience and then, completely seriously, suggest a list of their favourite recent former players, who have no coaching experience, as ideal replacements. Like Kirk just did sarcastically.

how about Le Browne,,, had the best secondary when he was with winterpeg. he lives here in town tooooooooooooo

I heard he cant even walk right now!
